Tuesday at the river....

What a lot of topsy turvy weather we have had lately. The past couple of nights have been a little nippy, but actually great weather for running once you get the heart rate up. I am sure Thursday will be a little frigid, but what the hay....we'll all be glad we did it once we have it done.
But about the Tuesday run.... Amanda is all grins about getting to run. Or maybe she is just hamming it up for the camera. Nothing wrong with that!

Another pat on the back to Carmen, who recently ran 3 miles nonstop. Talk about racking up milestones....sounds like a marathon is on the horizon. And speaking of milestones, Bobby and Susan celebrated their 30 year anniversary Tuesday. What better way to celebrate than to go for a run with their friends! (30 YEARS?!?! I don't even like to DRIVE that far!)

Tonight's newcomers included Lupe, who wants to start out with some serious walking, and then mix a little running is later.

Don't remember this dog's name. I'm sure he won't mind though.

We welcomed George, and his sons Zach and Tom. It'll be fun watching these guys as they get their legs and fly.

Special recognition was given to Wade and Neely, who ran their first trail run over the weekend! I was with them, and they spilled no blood, didn't get lost, and seemed to enjoy themselves!

The last of the group rounds the corner by the bears.

As the darkness sets in, so goes the opportunity to take good pictures, but Ronit always brightens up an otherwise dimming photograph.

FYI, we will run Thursday Night, regardless of the temps. Think about some descriptive adages about "How cold is it?" Let me know, and I'll post 'em.

It was so cold...

we had to wear so many layers of running clothes that if you fell down, you just had to stay there until somebody found you and rolled you home!
