Double dose of blogging

While both your fearless leader and resident paparazzi were traipsing across the Flint Hills of Kansas, our faithful runners awakened early again on a Saturday when the majority of the world was sleeping and ran 20 miles, or 13 miles. Just like clockwork, they gathered and dispersed, conquering another milestone in their training regime. This week, it was distance plus a hill, and then more distance. 20 miles done. Bring on the 22.

Special thanks to Susan and Candice who dawned their cheer-leading outfits and prodded our runners on to the finish. And another round of thanks to Susan for emailing me some after-the-fact pictures. :-)A cropped pic of the Bean Team.

It was a windy day, and Tatur Dave and Joye make sure the sidewalk did not blow away.

Super Runner Girl Power ACTIVATE!

************************************************************************************

Tuesday, it was business as usual at the park on Riverside. I guess we have to give props to the weatherman as it was perfect for running. Our newest runner Aiden came out for his first outing with the group. Nothing wrong with a little nap before a run!

Aiden's slightly older friend had a birthday.

Not saying how many but I will ask, WHERE'S THE CAKE?

Happy birthday. Marvin!

Newcomerstonight were Deanna who gets the prize for coming the farthest to run with us. She came from Florida, and is actually just in town for a couple of weeks and wanted to get a run in and joined our group. Hope we get to see ya again! To the right is Virginia, who is Lauren's sister. Great to have ya! Then, there's Brian. I did not get to visit with him, and don't know what his big plans are. Then there was Erin's dog, a very well behaved labradoodle.
Oh, there was one more visitor. Cindy had a guest who gave her butterfly kisses.

Some ran 6, some ran 5, and most ran 4 miles this evening. Mike, Ruth, and Dana charge up a hill.

Jana and Ronit take it to the house.

Afterwards, we hung around, rehydrated, swapped stories and lies. marvin first tried to assure us that he was not a day over 39, and then admitted his glee of moving up an age group!

See you all Thursday!!

Marvin shouldn't be so gleeful. He is only 68.

Sorry I missed you guys. See you Thursday.
